Airparks offers double VAT savings

Chancellor Alistair Darling's Pre-Budget Report announced plans for a reduction in VAT to 15% as a means to help kick-start the UK economy. Coming into effect at midnight on December 1, 2008, companies throughout the UK have been working hard to pass on the savings to the consumer.

Airparks® is delighted to announce that it has successfully applied the discount to all bookings made with the company. Indeed, the company has gone one step further and is offering a double discount of 5% on all bookings.

David Stratton, head of sales at Airparks, said: "We are always looking at ways to offer our customers the greatest possible value. As such, in addition to the cut in VAT, the 2.5% ensures that travellers' money goes further on their holiday.

"Our team has worked extremely hard since the Chancellor's announcement in November to ensure that the transition was successful. We are also delighted to include a simple message on our booking system that indicates that the discount has been applied, thereby eliminating any customer confusion as to whether the VAT saving has been passed on."
