Today easyJet, Europe's leading budget airline, is launching a brand new flight to Basel in Switzerland.
Basel is a beautiful city located in northern Switzerland, near the Rhine river. The city is near the border intersection between Germany and France and boasts over 30 museums. Basel is famed for hosting 'The Basler Fasnacht', the biggest carnival in Switzerland. Basel is ideally placed for exploring the Black Forest while business passengers can find everything they need in the northern section of the city.
David Osborne, easyJet's UK General Manager said;
easyJet has seen an increase of 23 new routes from London Gatwick 2008, taking the total number of routes on offer from the airport to 65. Baselwill offer a direct link for many business travellers to the city, with the independent traveller taking advantage of Basels unique European location to explore the three surrounding countries.
