Flagship Airparks Luton is a driving force with the launch of its automated ticketing system

Howard Dove CEO Airparks clashes with Darth Vader

The team at Airparks Luton celebrated the opening of their new automated check-in / check-out system yesterday at an event that was truly out of this world.

The Star Wars themed party saw guests mingling with the likes of Darth Vader and R2D2 while they sipped cocktails all served by an army of Princess Leias and Storm Troopers.

The innovative automated check-in is another step towards Airparks’ goal of exemplary customer service with queue-busting check-ins and smoother check-outs.

Howard Dove, CEO of Airparks, said: “Luton is one of our largest car parks which serves over 250,000 passengers using Luton Airport each year. We are so delighted to offer this phenomenal fully automated check-in and check-out system to our valued customers.

"The team at Airparks has devoted nine months to developing this secure automated system. It is part of a £1.5million project to revamp our sites across the UK and revolutionising our customer experience"

“Luton Airparks' customers park in the arrivals area, check in at one of the six simple/convenient check-in machines, deposit their car keys in the secure box on the way to the waiting shelter before being whisked off to the airport in a fleet of safe, modern buses.

“When they return from the airport they scan their receipt in our innovative automatic key dispenser, which delivers their keys in less than four seconds before starting on their journey home.”
