Britannia Hotel basically good and clean, great location and good parking deal. Very dated hotel - needs complete renovation - run by young folk completely unable to cope - "meal deal" a real "joke" - worthy of Faulty Towers. Bar area full of dirty glasses - again a poor young member of staff left to cope on their own - dirty "sticky" floor area in front of the bar - oh dear - bad management - who are letting their staff down badly !Mr Manson 23 Sep, 2022 (2 out of 5)

Doubletree by Hilton the hotel was very good, this is the second time we have stayed there.The massive downside was out of your control,a room full of ignorant people landed into the next door room to ours at 1.30 am ish ,promptly started arguing then went back and forward to another room ,resulting in no sleep for us and probably other people in our vicinity,and as we checked out at 4am as our flight departed at 7am, we got no sleep at all. Novotel Met at Novotel by Pierre. He was very helpful and friendly. Initially we were given the wrong room, but this was quickly sorted out by Pierre. A flight change ment we would be leaving hotel at 12.45 am, but we had our room at 1.30 pm so this was fine. Car parking, Alarm call, taxi transfers were all sorted out by Pierre, who I must single out as very helpful throughout our short visit. will definitely return here, lovely place, lovely staff, lovely executive room. Not really a downside, but on return from our Ibiza holiday, taxi driver was fine, but we didn't have any documents for this trip back to Novotel, but he happily took us there without charge, as I had said this was pre booked. Doubletree by Hilton Excellent hotel and very convenient location for Newcastle airport. Bit slow at check inn but it was very busy as there must have been a function or something on. Parking at the longstay is a bit disjointed. Could do with parking at hotel for a short time to get everything out of the car and checked in, then going to park the car in the longstay then only one person and not the whole family could do this....instructions for arriving said to go to longstay parking first so had loads to cart to the hotel.Mr Kicul 01 Oct, 2017 (5 out of 5)

Premier Inn Good value for money. However, there was some confusion over how to validate my parking ticket on return to Newcastle. I phoned one of your colleagues and they said that the barrier"just lifted and no need to validate" . Finally had to gain advice from a returning customer who kindly pointed me in the right direction. Apart from that, faultless. Britannia THE STAFF WAS VERY KIND AND HELPFUL BUT THE ROOM ACCOMMODATIONS WERE AWFUL. THE HALLS AND ROOM SMELLED, THE ROOM WAS DIRTY, NO VENTILATION, NO FAN IN BATHROOM. ENTIRE HOTEL NEEDS REFURBISHING. Even when we were upgraded to a suite the bathroom was still unacceptable, during both our stays. Premier Inn Everything was as described. We booked the hotel with the parking and the only thing that was a bit annoying was that we then had to pay for parking at the hotel! Britannia The room was satisfactory, however the evening meal I arranged was late (the desk told me it would be at 1915 and the restaurant said 1930) the staff in the restaurant were short staffed and it took forever to order and then be served. The fish and chips I was served was absolutely disgusting the batter being like concrete and the fish had been caught at least 10 years ago. The cheesecake was also stale and I was left at the end so I walked out back to my room where I was disturbed by a member of staff demanding payment for wine. Holiday Inn We purchased parking and an overnight stay before our flight at holiday inn Newcastle. Whilst in bed sleeping for our early flight someone was attempting to get into our room. Apparently they had been given a keycard for our room as the system had crashed and staff thought our room was empty. On phoning reception we were told we would recieve a 20% discount which would be refunded to our credit card as we had already paid. This has not happened. Britannia The Hotel was awful..., akin to stepping back to the 80's! Dated décor, awful furniture and a bathroom that wasn't the cleanest and with mould in the silicon around the bath.<br /> I truly will not be staying there, or any other Britannia again.
