Long Stay 3 Exeter Airport Parking at Exeter in Car Park3 worked very well. I pre booked barrier rose as I arrived and collected my ticket. Bays nearest the entrance are reserved so we drove down quite a way to find a space but weather was fine and the longer walk wasn’t a problem at all. Long Stay 3 Exeter Airport To be quite honest, I had no idea how it was going to work, thought there was going to be some bloke waiting to take my key, but as I pulled up to the gate, it had said my name on the screen, took the ticket that had came out, then when I had returned from my holiday, it was as simple as putting the ticket in, and driving home very pleased with the service. Fortunately our plane was ahead of schedule so the insurance waiver nit required. On arrival the barrier did not automatically give us a ticket, so on exit we were asked to pay £106. Long Stay 4 Exeter Airport Plenty of space. However, exiting the car park (Long Stay 3 at Exeter) was not easy. When ticket inserted into machine it asked for £106 to be paid. No call button available and car behind !! Once a call button had been found on the entrance barrier, exit was cleared immediately. On booking, this should be made clear and instructions given as to how the shuttle service operates. I was pleased to note that the service remained available after my flight had been delayed. Long Stay 3 Exeter Airport There seems to be a shortage of busses to the car park. A lot of the first area when you walk to or from it is taken up with Hire Cars. So you end up quite a way down. We parked on Friday and was very near the bottom, no bus to be seen from arrival there until we finally got back to the airport with luggage. Likewise on arrival back yesterday not a bus to be seen in the 35 - 40 mins we were there. If they are supposed to run every 15 mins as we were informed there is a problem. However, I would say that, on my return, there were several cars parked in non-parking areas, thereby blocking the possibility of being able to drive between line of parked cars, and necessitating having to drive right down to the end to get out. Long Stay 3 Exeter Airport The system did not really work. When we arrived at the airport car park the system would only issue a normal car park ticket and not a prepaid one. Because we had used the system before we new this would be a problem on our return so we had to walk to the ticket office and get our ticket electronically accepted. On my recent flight back from Malaga we were delayed which took me past the time I had set as leaving the car park (even though I added on an extra hour to cover problems) but I wasn't charged anything extra, I had lost my ticket and a very nice attendant at the parking Kiosk raised the barrier for me! Sadly when we parked on arrival, inevitably some way from the barrier, we were hoping for a shuttle bus but the method for requesting one in the 'bus stop' was out of order and when another bus passed it was full.
