Getting From Birmingham Airport To Birmingham City Centre
Making your way from Birmingham Airport to the centre of Birmingham is straightforward and affordable!
By Rail
There are fantastic rail routes thanks to Birmingham International Station being directly linked to the airport terminals by the free SkyRail. The SkyRail runs every 2 minutes, and takes 2 minutes to get to the station.
To get to the heart of Birmingham, it is a 10-15 minute ride from Birmingham International station to Birmingham New Street station. There are between 6 and 7 trains an hour that run during the day; there are less in the evenings and during weekends, and no trains at night. An off-peak single fare is £3.10.
By Bus
The 900 Airport Link runs between the airport terminals and the city centre every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during the evenings and on Saturdays.

- 91 - which connects Chelmsley Wood and Birmingham International Station)
- 966 - connects Erdington and Solihull
- 97/97A - connects Birmingham City Centre to Birmingham Airport, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- 75/75A - connects Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham International Station
- X1 - connects Birmingham and Coventry

The National Express from the airport to Birmingham Coach Station takes just 25 minutes, with fares costing around £4.10.
By Rental Car
Situated near great motorway links, Birmingham Airport is just off of the M42 at Junction 6 via the A45. From the airport, the centre of Birmingham is around a 30 minute drive away.
By Taxi
Black cabs run to and from the airport 24 hours a day, all year round. Taxis can carry 5 - 7 people with luggage. For Birmingham and Solihull journeys, there is a metered fare (which will be displayed). The taxi journey from the airport to the city centre takes around 30 minutes.
